Does It Ring A Bell?

So, last night I was watching Tyra as she welcomes four of the women from Oxygen's "Bad Girls Club" to discuss their huge fights on camera. The ladies still haven't calmed down and start arguing again on stage. It gets so intense two of the women storm off. One of the women gets a therapy session with Dr. Garry to understand how her anger masks her vulnerability. Tyra finally gets the girls to come together and play a trust game. Will they really kiss and make up? Plus, Tyra speaks with two young girls who got into a physical fight that was videotaped and posted on the Internet (Hmmm sounds family? Bwahaha...). Dr. Garry is on hand to offer insight and advice to the girls and their family members.

Experts say the trend simply reflects society - girls are more violent because society in general is more violent and less civil. Some say that the same breakdowns in family, church, community and school that have long been blamed for violence among boys are finally catching up to girls.

And some believe the violence is also fueled by the emergence of movies and video games such as "Tomb Raider" in which women wreak violence with the gusto of male action heroes.

I think gender equality may have something to do with it...
