Beauty Advice

Admit it, we love beauty products since we were little girls, we had fun experimenting with brands, colors and formulations. But just how much do we know about them? How they are made and how safe they are?, and if it's right for us... Our skin plays a very important role in our body, and I am going to tell you everything you wanted to know to keep that skin healthy and glowing.

Skin care is very important! Because your skin reflects just everything about you - may it be inside or out. If you are tired, sick or even stressed it'll show on your skin the tone, color and condition. And the opposite is true, luckily! Your skin is said to glow when you are happy and healthy. It is really important to care for your skin, cause as the saying says - the outside you - reflects the inside you.

I have found a source for that younger you, www.skinhealthtoday.com - truly an excellent source for that healthy and beautiful you! There is even a blog filled with tons of helpful tips. If you're like me and want to keep your skin looking and feeling awesome, visit the site. Read the blog ad even subscribe to it so you don't miss anything!
There is a radio show on www.WorldTalkRadio.com, with FREE streaming! Every week is a new topic.

There are a few things I do to keep my skin healthy and hydrated, such as using the correct types of moisturizers, which I have found on that site.

Well, here's more even interesting, they have an upcoming topic for Thursday, April 3 at 12:00pm Bodylicious! it is...

Gift Giving...

"Happiness comes from giving, not getting. If we try hard to bring happiness to others, we cannot stop it from coming to us also. To get joy, we must give it, and to keep joy, we must scatter it." John Templeton

When giving a gift you have to consider the occasion if it's for a birthday, wedding , retirement sendoffs and trendy holiday soirees etc.

Call me cheap but, I don't give a gift that has the same monetary value as someone gave me. What I do is, I try to find the nicest thing I can give with my means... Another thing, You don't have to reciprocate if you receive an unexpected gift from someone. And certainly don't say: "I'll have something for you later! Uhg *that is totally a no-no*

Para sa akin, it's not what you have given it's the thought that counts diva? Kahit pa binigyan ka ng notebook at lapis kahit hindi na no read at no write ka - salamat pa din dapat ang sagot mo dito... No matter what - SALAMAT!

I wanted to share y'all - My Christmas nightmare...

I just hate people who doesn't appreciate things. Instead of just saying "gee thanks" what they do is complain blah-blah-blah... Isa lang masasabi ko dito.

*WALA KANG $UTANG NA LOOB LECHE, IKAW NA NGA JAN ANG NAALALA, REKLAMO KA PA!*

Don't you just hate those kind of people? I am not saying that everybody's like that, but somehow in your so called life you have or may have encountered one or two maybe?

I do really get offended with things like this, and sometimes I think I should just take out the pain of gift giving... *LECHE! O ETONG $5.00 bumili ka ng buhay mo!*

Have you ever given someone something that later you found out they didn't like?

Just how much do you think, can you take?

Q: How much blood can you lose - and still survive?

A: Most adults have between 6.7 and 9.8 pints of blood. A human can tolerate the loss of 15 percent of this, bu then the suffer begins to feel dizzy, faint, cold or irritable and heart rate increases. Well a loss of 40 percent means there is not enough blood to fill the chambers of the heart, and the heartbeat becomes rapid and irregular. This can prove fatal.

Q: What degree of cold can humans survive?

A: Normal human body temperature is 98.6F. Hypothermia kicks in if core temperature drops even slightly. At 96.8F reaction times slow and at straight line is difficult. 89.6F most people will collapse, lapsing into unconsciousness at 86F.

Q: How much water can you drink in an hour?

A: 17.5 pints in an hour is the maximum. Above that, and the body's electrolyte levels are dangerously diluted. Drinking 17.5 pints each hour would be lethal. Do not do it.

Never Ending Happiness

Some of you may ask what is The Sedona Method? Well, it is a self-help technique developed by the late engineer/physicist/businessman Lester Levenson after a serious heart attack nearly ended his life. Lester regained his health and attributed his renewed positive outlook to a process of self-inquiry of one's beliefs and related emotions.

The process is designed to examine any emotion that one is experiencing and then "let it go" or release it in the moment. The basic premise is that all emotions naturally come and go out of experience unless one resists them. The idea is supported in the writings of Carl Jung who noted, "What we resist persists."

Some people may refer The Sedona Method as a new earth. Sedona Method only promises you'll feel renewed happiness, confidence and less stress, its clientele is broad reaching. Through books, audio books, conferences and the Web site, The Sedona Method reaches people across the world, in major corporations and individuals just like you and me.

Let's put it this way, it is the key to securing the happiness that is yours . . . forever . . . is to discover how to discharge the negative feelings you've accumulated. By discharging these negative feelings, you will not only increase the happiness in your life, but everything else will get better too, name it - whatever you want, may it be Money, Health, Relationships, Good Looks and much more - Will all be yours with The Sedona Method.

Impulsive...

It was really a spur of the moment decision to go to the casino at 3AM in the morning, and to think the casino is not in our neighborhood, it is like 45 minutes drive away from our place.

I really don't gamble, I do - every now and then to entertain myself (entertainment for me is to loose all my monies)! It hasn't been a lesson for me, cause I have never won any single penny from gambling, but I still gamble...

I work 6 days a week. And I have gambled a pay check from my week earnings... (HUHUHUHU *sobs* HUHUHUH), I could have just bought something meaningful! I have lost all my cash mo nies that I have with me at that time... FOR REALS! (ang pera nga naman, parang tubig - hindi mo pa nahahawakan wala na.)

But then, we have earned some comps, like $200.00 in comps in exchange of $2,000 waaaahhhhhhh. So to feel much better about that losses, we ate at some cafe inside the casino using our comp. I just took advantage of everything from my bottled water San Pellegrino to my food, just a make believe that it's a break even. WAHHHHHHHH. IT IS NOT! It'll never be...

Too much for moaning and groaning, yeah I had fun that early morning spur of the moment.

We got home by 7:30 AM (Sunday)... We drove by Bally's (it's just in front of our development) and worked out for like 45 minutes, o diba? WE are NOT losers!

Do you love Oysters?

I love Oysters! I could eat a whole bunch of em'. I could say that I could live with just eating Oysters alone cause they're really my favorite, here's one fact about Oysters... Oysters provide a low calorie protein - that are an excellent source of zinc, vitamin B-12, and omega-3 fatty acids.

Do you know that oyster is used as a metaphor in an idiomatic saying, "The world is your oyster", which means that the whole world is laid out before you like a wonderful living buffet.

I was ounce in Louisiana and I saw Gulf oysters. Gulf Oysters grow wild in the reefs of Louisiana. They vary in saltiness according to the season, becoming sweetest in the spring when the marshes are flooded with fresh water.

Well, I have found a great website - BeOysterAware.com website is dedicated to educating the oyster consuming public. It provides a thorough background on Vibrio vulnificus and the health conditions that place an individual in the at-risk category, as well as present tasty oyster products with reduced risk for all consumers to enjoy, including at-risk consumers. So, eat your savory oyster treats raw, steamed, fried, charbroiled, grilled….whatever your appetite desires, just BE OYSTER AWARE!

Local Time 2:44 AM

We could have gone or left like 11 PM earlier to Atlantic City, and by now we could have won millions-bazzilions and gazzilions of monies already! Well, we have been arguing all night if we are going or not, and yes we are going to Atlantic City right at this moment, 2:44 AM... And it's just ewww to be loveydovey to each other so we said to ourselves "let's just go to AC and be productive!" Awww Lovely!

How To Get Over A Break Up

I should know better! -been there, done that. Well, I wanted to share y'all my secret. Read on...

1. Moleskin/Canvas/Watercolors/Charcoal/Colored Pencils
-Whenever am lonely, I just grab my moleskin and my other gadgets and just doodle that away. I usually express myself through writing stuffs on my moleskin. I bet when you see my moleskin you'll be surprise - it's halo-halong kalamay, oh my gulay. I usually do a sketch of the person I hate/broke my heart and put a spell on that person bwahahahha, just kidding! Though it is really helpful and it is such a therapy for me.

2. Chill Out Music
-Time to get that Edison cylinder phonograph from the attic and tis the time I listen to my classic 45s bwahahah! FYI I am not that old yet, most of my friends consider me very young - young looking and young at heart (sa tagalog wala ka pa ring pinagkatandaan!) When I say chill out, it means something... Like to relax... Right? So my choices are from Thievery Corporation, Nightmares on Wax, Solu, Trentemoller, Jam and Spoon, Imogen Heap, Dzihan and Kamien, Bonnie Bailey and ohhh much more... (want to know what is more funny? one of my "not so hada" before went through my play list, she listened and suddenly out of the blue, asked me... Do you do E? - I said, yeah. As in sa tanda kong to, I didn't know that she is referring to Ecstasy Ecstano, Ang alam kong E eh Elephant Katol no!)

3. Scented Candles/Oils/Aromatherapy
-Prepare alot of this stuff! For me, this is the ultimate stress-relief aside from clorox (If y'all don't know, I usually get an orgasm with the clorox scent lol). Another FAK, The history of Aromatherapy started with the ancient Egyptians. Over 6,000 years ago, the Egyptians realized the value of essential oils that came from different plants. They used these oils during baths, with massages and sometimes to even embalm their dead. This type of therapy soon died down but in the early 1930's the use of Aromatherapy began to grow again and today is a widely used method. (kaya mag-aromatherapy kana!)

4. Foam Bath
-Another stress relief indeed! Doing a foaming bath is clinically shown to help your body calm and relax you while you bathe. (hindi nyo na itatago, 5 beses akong maligo sa isang araw. ipinaglihi ako kay Dyesebel.)

5. Blog
-My one and only friend! It's where I have publicly humiliated myself and my family, but still, I had fun doing it so... So who cares? And by the way, it's where I get my moolah! So, sign up na! At habang nag-sign-up kayo? Mag donate na din kayo!

eye em cheaper than your average whore - DONATE na! NOW NA!!!

Break up with a style and class

We all know that breaking up is hard to do (been there, done that). Breaking up is part or a thing in everybody's life that is unavoidable. Well, most of our romantic relationships that begin with joy and excitement, can also end with a painful break up that's really true! Believe me. I want to share with you all the DO's and DON'TS if you want to break up with somebody. As the title it is, I will teach you all to do in a very humane and civilized way lol.

Break up with style and class 101

1. Be Sensitive - By this I did not say that you have to use the famous line "It's not you, it's me" this is a great excuse for breaking up with somebody if you don't want to hurt their feelings BUT never, ever use this line.
Sensitive in a way of, well no one likes to get dumped, really. If it's not really working anymore, well just say so and just be sensitive when saying so. Get it? Be honest!

2. Do It In Person - Come on, we are not kids anymore. You don't break up over the phone, sms message or an email, DUH! Have some balls and tell it in person. It's hard I know, but you gotta do, what you have to do.

3. Do It In A Less Public Place - Always pick an appropriate place. The less public, the better. When breaking up, there's always a RIGHT place and a RIGHT time.

4. Timing - Well as I've said on number 3 there is always a right place and a right time. Right time means, you don't break up during holidays or special occasions (birthday, funeral...,). You don't want the receiving end to remember you as that occasion rolls down, right?

5. Always have class and style! Whether you are a dumpee/dumper everything's going to be okay after all.

politically correct Vs politically incorrect

What was the most hurtful word has someone ever told you?

Well if you ask me, I was told by my brother that I am a racist specially to Filipinos. It hurts! Cause it's not true. For me it's like you just called me a name such as "the Chinese lady". I haven't been out with a Filipino lately, does that mean I am a racist? I have been out with a Ethiopian, Liberian, Ukrainian, Tibethian, Mongolian..., If I am a racist I would just date people inside my race isn't it? Get over it, I am not a racist...

He's just politically correct, cause you know when he's describing someone, he would not describe it it's color. Like I remember one time his telling me this story about his friend back in grade school who he had met recently and could not remember his name. So I have asked him can you describe him? So he was like... Um, black straight hair, he's very good in math and you know him, he's the one who couldn't drive. Got ya! Are you talking about Tony Leung? You could have just said the one who always has soy sauce on his shirt! Duh! LOL.

I declare my own holiday

Yesterday, I did not go to school, I have declared it my own holiday!

Well, at first like after 2 meetings with my prof. she had told us that she will not see us on Feb. 14 (such a very long notice eh? classes had started like mid of Jan). Oh well the last time I saw her was last Tuesday the Tuesday before this Tuesday which I got sick that following Thursday and since I don't talk that much to my classmates I don't know if she told them if our class is still on last night. I don't know any of my classmates email or phone number.

I was there last Tuesday, but classes were canceled since it's raining ice and water that night. I did not have the chance to ask my 3 other classmates who showed up at that time (maatas din ang ihi ko eh lol). My plan was to email Sheila (the prof), ayaw ko ng nagtatanong at nakikiutang na loob sa ibang tao sa totoo lang no. I emailed her yesterday but the B*&&%%# didn't reply my email up to now ugh grrrr... I just don't want to be there by myself (if she has really canceled the class) and look stupid, so I have decided to just cancel the class myself!

I was really full (burps) the food is amazing, I had ban xeo, pho and broken rice with egg, quiche, pork chop, shredded beef of course I didn't eat all these by myself me and my man shared dahil hati din kami sa bayad lol (single naman ako, so wala na akong pakialam kung tumaba man ako bwehehehe).

Before I meet up my date, I was walking alone on the way to the restaurant. I was so envious to see happy couples holding hands while walking as in HHWW may kasama pang sway!, *gusto ko silang pag babarilin! sa totoo lang.* At eto pa, OO wala, wala akong natangap na bulaklak...

I just practice what I preach. Malay ba ng mga tao na sa akin din yon nangaling? Diba? So, kayong lahat ng single jan love yourself first!
